I am writing today out of my own experience. There have been periods of time when my mind has succumbed to this mindset and it has had a paralyzing effect on me. Most of those who will read this article at one time or another have had a victim mentality. I want to give you a definition and then I am going to give you some biblical examples of those who did have and did not have a victim mentality. We are to change our mindset! Do you have the mindset of a victim or a victor? We are not supposed to just go on in the same way thinking the same old thoughts. Romans 12:2 “ Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Numerous scriptures challenge us to look into our thinking:ġ Corinthians 2:16 tells us “ But we have the mind of Christ.” Changing how you think is an important part of being a Christian.

In this article I will discuss what a victim mentality is and show you how you can be free to live as a victor instead of a victim. You can overcome victim mentality through a relationship with Christ and the Word of God.
